The monotony of each passing day seems to ironically bring different surprises. You're either going to be greeted by pleasant surprises or rude shocks. No matter what, we've got to take it in our stride and either accept the blessings with open arms and ride out the crisis like a surfer dude would. Life is only as bad as you determine it to be. Make the best out of it while you still have the power to do so.

Swing Gurlzu!!!
Today's probably one of the craziest days I've had in quite a long time. Irv and I were having this crazy idea of doing a Japanese School Girl themed Swing party. After much struggle to piece things together (like getting the school uniforms and fixing the date for the movie)... Irvin pulls off the ultimate move and discovers a joint at Far East Plaza called Ba Na Na selling really cute Japanese school girl outfits! With the problems of getting the right school uniforms for the girls settled, the party is ready to go! It's darn ez for the boys to get with short sleeved shirts and black pants anyway.

Total Tickets booked: 21

Sheesh... that was the number of Swing-crazy people who came for this outing. Just image the whole lot of us sauntering down the streets in our matching uniforms looking like Japanese school kids!!! We're really mad to do that. But it's really fun to have such a thematic party!!!
Just think... Big Band Swing music + Japanese Girls!!! It's pretty much the ultimate combination of some sorts for me!!! *Drools*

Anyways... we did a first of some sorts during the movie when at least 6 couples, including me, hit the front of the cinema when the Japanese band was playing in the movie for the final scene and started dancing real hard to the music!!! Think we pretty much got a very adrenaline rush from that! Whilst dancing, some people were even snapping away with the digicams. Some people from TNP were tipped off and came down to cover our little swing party in the cinema! Hope I was doing my lindy turn right when they were happy snapping away at us! Got interviewed too... eh. So I might actually appear on our local papers some time soon... *Shudders*

After all that movie watching and dancing at Cineleisure, we headed down to Lau Pat Sat to catch dinner before heading down to Harry's... while still decked in our uniforms and swing hard till the night was done. Hell... My legs are aching now. But it sure was fun!!!

Gotta wake up tml for more dancing tho. So better go... Ah... I'm still on a high. Can't sleep. :D
