The monotony of each passing day seems to ironically bring different surprises. You're either going to be greeted by pleasant surprises or rude shocks. No matter what, we've got to take it in our stride and either accept the blessings with open arms and ride out the crisis like a surfer dude would. Life is only as bad as you determine it to be. Make the best out of it while you still have the power to do so.

We're Such Irritating Creatures, I Don't Wanna Belong Here
It's so sad to be hearing so many stories of unhappy incidents of different magnitutes over the past year. Is it just me or is everyone just mucking up really bad?

Whatever happened to world peace? Whatever happened to make love and not war? Whatever happened to the days where bands were singing bout happy things that were happening around the world. Whatever happened to the days where you know that you can depend on the people physically close around you, like your neighbours when you need help with uncloggin the sink or something?

It's all not here anymore. Screw world peace. As of now in Iraq, there are people dying almost everyday due to militant attacks and such. Getting hit by a rocket-propelled hand grenade and being blown to bits is no joke. Getting you head sawed off while fuckin crazy militants are sniggerin as they video tape your last living moments ain't funny too. But who can blame these people for going absolutely ballistic when some fucking white guy bombards and invades your capital to seek and capture your leader? I swear, one day, someone will fucking nuke the friggin world and we'll all die. At this rate whereby things are progressing, I won't be surprised if it eventually happens.

I want my happy songs! I need the happy songs! Was listenin to some old songs from yesteryear and I realised that the stuff that people listened to was generally positively happier music compared to the angst and depression ridden stuff we heard all the time now. Could this be contributing to the general lousy behavior of people. Even I, am seeking solace from the songs that seem to bring my mood down to new depths. Need to listen to the happier stuff, otherwise we'll all die unhappy or something.

Modern technology is evil too. We're too accustomed to communicating with people over the internet that people forget how to communicate with the people around you. The people that matter most. Your family. I can't seem to be able to share stuff with anyone at home. Why so? I really don't know. And so, we all turn to our friends and pour everything out to them. And our folks will have no clue of all the turmoil that's going on in our little minds. Maybe we don't want them to worry bout us, thats why we're keeping them out of the loop? The fear of rejection and conflict if we let them into our complicated lives? We're such bothersome creatures.

I wanna go back to the 60s & 70s and believe in world peace, dance to the happy tunes, sing along to the Beatles and Bee Gees, have an afro and dance like Travolta on roller skates in a disco, jam with my friends in the garage, shoot hoops with the boys across the streeet, play soccer in the park, bring my date to the drive in movies, watch black and white TV with my family while we all cram onto our retro-fitted 5 seater sofa munchin finger food with cheese dips.

I don't belong here.

Haiz world peace never did exist I don't think. Seems to me that since man evolved from Neanderthals, we have been in a constant state of war. Greeks, Romans, Chinese, Mongolians, you name 'em. Can't throw a rock in the street without hitting someone whose race/religion was historically involved some way or other in some form of armed conflict.

Doesn't help that the only superpower in this world chooses an asswipe for a vice-prez. Yes, you heard me. I don't even give Dubya enough credit for pulling off this bullshit we see today. Cheney's the one with the puppet strings, the Halliburton mogul with his trucks and miles and miles of oil pipelines in Iraq. Liberate Iraq? Liberate Iraq's oil, more like.

And get this: the typical American troops, your privates and your corporals, sent to an unjustified war, to fight for an unworthy cause, earn the grand total of US$2-3,000 a month whilst the Halliburton truck drivers, who ply the same route every single fucken day, siphoning precious oil from the sacred lands of Babylon in the pursuit of "capitalistic ideals" get US$8,000 easy. Any sense in that?

The fucken greed of it all. It makes me sick. Meanwhile, the Cheney administration outdoes itself by blocking every single bill that bid to put in place measures to ensure that corporations pay for destroying the environment.

Conscience it seems, is dead in the days of corporate America.
