The monotony of each passing day seems to ironically bring different surprises. You're either going to be greeted by pleasant surprises or rude shocks. No matter what, we've got to take it in our stride and either accept the blessings with open arms and ride out the crisis like a surfer dude would. Life is only as bad as you determine it to be. Make the best out of it while you still have the power to do so.

Ice Cream In The Wild West
Went to Serene's turf today... to meet her friends, Becky and the twins, Daniel and Graham for dinner and Ice Cream at the Daily Scoop. Dinner was pretty fine... as we ate at some totally ulu and unusually deserted kopitiam that was nicely lit and decorated. Just that it was just too quiet... strange place. Saw this poor boy with accupuncture needles stickin outta his scalp whilst we were eating too... scary stuff.

That aside... after dinner, Serene led us around the neighbourhood in search of the ice cream palour... and after 10 minutes of walking around, we managed to find the place, but it was just so sad that the place was not open!!! Apparently it was closed for the Vesak Day holidays... and it will only be open on the 25th!!! Which is tomorrow!!! *sobs*

The next best thing was to go to the conveniece store around the corner and buy a few tubs of ice cream and bring it to Serene's place to pig out. The damned freezer at the had a really funny name... it was called, YODA!!! Strange hor!!! And the damned freezer refused to open without a fight... it only succumbed when the D&G brothers laid the hands on it. We bought some Kings, Ben & Jerrys and Dreyers and a Sara Lee cake that we should never have touched in the first place...

We should have known better as everything in the freezer was frozen together with ice surrounding all the containers... Yoda the freezer was probably leaking water onto the ice cream and cakes all the while and by the time we got to Serene's place, the Sara Lee pound cake was still frozen and squishy with water... It was such a pity... but yeah, we had to trash it. It was probably unsafe to it a half soaked pound cake.

Thank goodness the rest of the ice cream was wonderful... Many thanks to Serene for being such a fun host also. I wanna steal ur cd and dance video collection... or borrow and download em! Hur hur~ I'll trade some with you if you want! And the D&G brothers are masters of the guitar!!! I always thot that Ivan was really good... until I heard these boys go at it on the guitar... such talented boys. Apparently they've been playing the guitar since they were kids... so they've literally been playing the guitar all their lives!

Till the next time I head down to the west for ice cream at the Daily Scoop, I'll be eating my own chocolate ice cream at home then.
